About the Pitch Competition

The BlockchainHub & Centre For Cyber Resilience (CCR) at Lassonde PD, York University hosting LassondePD Pitch Competition with a focus on Blockchain Use-cases for Data Privacy & GDPR, where Blockchain start-ups will present their groundbreaking ideas to a panel of renowned judges and industry experts coming from all across Canada. The startup with the highest scores from the judging panel would be the winner.

Startups are invited to submit applications. Everyone that entering the challenge must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have an a Blockchain-based product, technology, services or solution

  • Must able to present how your solution will improve data privacy

Evaluation Criteria

  • Level of innovation, how original is your idea

  • Positive impact: How your startup will improve customer data privacy in general

  • Sustainability: What problem are you solving, How did you validated the problem? What value are you offering to your users/clients?

  • Team: What is the story behind your team?


Step1-Online Application : Deadline April 7th 2019

Step 2- Application Results: 5 startups will be selected and announced by April 14th to compete at The Pitch Competition.

Step 3- Pitch Competition: Happening on April 22nd 2019 at Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence at York University (Toronto, Canada), the team with the highest score would be announced as the winner
